Sub Rs. 2000 Smartphone, Rs. 2000 Mobile, Govt. ask to make Rs. 2000 Mobile, Rs. 2000 Mobile Launched
Hello Viewers!! Now the Govt. of India is pushing the nation towards digital or cashless transaction. But less cash economy won’t succeed until affordable devices are made available to the rural areas. Because more than 60% people don’t have any smartphone of Rural areas. That’s why Govt. of India ask the Local Smartphone Companies to make a Sub Rs. 2000 Mobile to enable cashless transaction.
Govt. has recently held a meeting by Niti Ayog with the local smartphone manufacturing Companies like Micromax, Lava, Intex and Karbonn to built a law cost smartphone which can enable more Indians to have a smartphone. While the Multi-National Companies didn’t approach the meeting. The Govt instructed the Smartphone Companies to include QR code scanning capabilities, and a bio-metric security through a fingerprint scanner, in the sub Rs 2,000 handsets.
Sub Rs. 2000 Smartphone Launching Shortly: Govt Ask the National Companies to Make
As I have cited above the Govt. of India began enabling Digital or Cashless Transaction. Mobile payment is the key of this Digital Shift. This is the way to launch BHIM App which can connect 31 Nos. of Major Banks using UPI. Notably more than 1 million people has downloaded this App to increase cashless economy.
But now only 300 million of people has smartphones out of a billion in India. Because there is not any law cost Mobile in the market that can enable cashless transaction. Since BHIM App or other UPI based payments need a smartphone with data, the dream of the Govt remain limited unless more people have phones that are data-enabled. That’s why Govt. ask Micromax, Lava, Intex and Karbonn to built a Sub Rs. 2000 Smartphone.
But till now any of the above companies did not respond to queries as of press time Sunday. So, we are not sure whether Sub Rs. 2000 Mobile will Launch or not. It’s just a proposal of Govt. of India to the local Smartphone Manufacturing Companies.
